Ate here twice on our trip to the Chippewa National Forest. Highly recommend the apple cinnamon french toast and mixed berry pancakes. Grilled walleye and veggie omelette were good too. They were also flexible in substituting meat/potatoes for fruits/salad when asked. Their cinnamon rolls are made in house but muffins are not. Service was efficient and friendly. Will stop here again if we pass through the area.

Every year I come here to enjoy a breakfast when I am in town. I am never disappointed at the quality of food, the service and the professionalism of the staff, and the inviting homey feel of the surroundings. I recommend their muffins, biscuits and gravy, and their country fried steak. This year the only thing that changed is they no longer accept credit/debit cards as a form of payment. I think it may be inconvenient for some, but I really like the idea of not having to raise their prices to compensate for card charges. It is always a pleasure to come here to my favorite hometown diner.

Great breakfast spot. We wanted something quick on our way out of town, but not fast food. The food was super good and not over priced. It looked busy from the back parking lot but they had plenty of tables inside and the service was quick. We had an Omelet, Eggs Benedict, and pancakes. The pancakes came with hot syrup and they were super fluffy.

This place was recommended to us by a local boutique. This establishment only takes cash or checks, so come prepared. We arrived around 1:30pm and there was only one other couple there. It's a cute place with a lodgey feel. I ordered the patty melt and it arrived hot and delicious! Would definitely visit again.

Friendly staff, delicious food and a very reasonable price all with a cozy cabin feel! I enjoyed eating at Dotties when we visited Grand Rapids so much we ate there three mornings in a row. You must try the huge fresh made caramel roll. One is big enough to share. Thanks for making us feel so welcome. We will be back next time we are in town.

Hidden breakfast gem you will never leave hungry. Classic home-cooked dishes. Giant pancakes and cinnamon + caramel rolls bigger than your face. My only regret is that I hadn't found it sooner. Now it's our go-to breakfast spot. We love Dottie's and it's comfy, cozy atmosphere.
